We like to treat all our volunteers like Royalty - even better than Royalty - and here's one of our Queen Volunteers Val who has just dug herself up a mammoth Chinese Cabbage from the Annex Herb Garden. She's perfect in salads and stir fry's (the cabbage that is, not Val!) and we are letting our volunteers have first pick......well, some tiny little caterpillars are wanting the first pick so we're harvesting now before they get eaten by some very hungry caterpillars.
And if you're looking for fresh herbs for tonight's tea (think of Rosemary & Thyme on your roast potatoes or a tasty Chive potato salad or fresh Oregano to top off your pizza) then call into the Annex and get yourself a bunch....and while you are here, see what Volunteering roles are on offer or what exciting things are on in the area for you to join in with.....you never know, we could be treating you better than Royalty soon!!!
